SWIT MONET Studio RGBWW Panels - Newsshooter

Nov 09, 2024

SWIT has announced its new MONET Studio RGBWW Panel series. The MONET-400 and MONET-700, are 400W and 700W RGBWW soft light panels respectively. These lighting solutions are designed to cater to the diverse needs of professional studios and broadcast environments.

The MONET-400 is designed for applications that require soft light. With RGBWW LEDs, it offers a color temperature range from 2800K to 10000K. This soft light panel is claimed to produce 11500 lux at 1m /3.3′ and 1500 lux at 3m / 9.9′.

The MONET-700 is designed for those applications where focused illumination with high intensity is required. It has a claimed output of 20,000 lux at 1m / 3.3′, and 2700 lux at 3m / 9.9′. The MONET-700 offers precise control over light quality, with a half-peak beam angle of approximately 65°. It has been tailored for studio installations that require a concentrated beam.

The MONET series offers full RGB + White gamut control, with HUE, saturation, and brightness adjustable in 0.1% steps. In CCT mode, the MONET can go from 2800K to 10.000K with G/M adjustment.

Both fixtures incorporate SWIT’s cooling design, to provide efficient heat dissipation. The lowest noise level is claimed to be about 40 dB which is on par with ambient noise. You can put the light as close to the talents as possible; your microphone won’t catch any noise from the MONET. For studio installations, this will keep the entire space quiet.

The MONET series is also claimed to lead the industry in energy efficiency, with a significantly higher lumen/watt ratio (LPW) than competing products. The application of SWIT CTDM technology has increased the RGB color light output efficiency of the MONET series from 30% of other brands to 100% of white light, ensuring brighter lighting at the same power consumption, and contributing to energy conservation and environmental protection.

The MONET integrates a 3.5-inch color display on the back. With the knob hotkey, gaffers can easily adjust color and brightness with high precision. In addition to CCT/HSI/RGB/CIE/Light Effects, there is also a Gel selection mode, which provides Rosco and Lee Gels and supports Gel import. Filmmakers can quickly and easily dial the desired settings with one hand only.

The MONET provides an EtherCON interface, supports the Art-Net protocol, and has a built-in CRMX receiver of LumenRadio. In addition, the MONET has no ballast, built-in AC in & loop out, 48V DC input, and 5-pin DMX input and loop out, making it convenient for you whether it is for studio installation or on-site production.

You can seamlessly integrate the MONET into your professional production system. It also features onboard control, DMX, IP, and app control.

The new free SWIT Console mobile APP (Will be updated in December 2024), is available for iOS and Android devices.

The MONET has a double-layer accessory quick-release structure and comes standard with an S-Polytech high-performance diffuser and a 4-leaf barndoor. In addition, accessories such as honeycomb, and softbox are provided.

The SWIT MONET-400 retails for €1799, and the MONET-700 is €2999. Both fixtures will start shipping in Q1 of 2025.
